At the foundation of SIGNALIS are two great companies, each with a long record of valuable industry contributions and technological advancements.

ATLAS Maritime Security was, until recently an integral part of the well known ATLAS ELEKTRONIK. This company has provided maritime surveillance technologies for Harbours, Coastal Surveillance, and Critical Infrastructure applications since the early 1980’s. The company has met the operational requirements of local port and water authorities as well as for the rigorous environments of military applications. It is known for setting the highest standards for reliable operations.

SOFRELOG began its history in the late 1980’s when it introduced a unique real-time processing technology which performed well using standard computer hardware. This technology was quickly applied to the difficult tasks of maritime radar tracking and changed the course of the industry’s technology and performance capabilities. Additional technologies were introduced over the ensuing years to a larger and larger client base in all surveillance applications. SOFRELOG became part of the EADS family of companies in 2006. Today the same core technologies can be applied to applications large and small.

The Merger Agreement was signed in June 2010, and final approvals were received 10 December.

Together, these two companies have become one force with the goal of achieving a safer world for all.
